Reading J I Packer's "Knowing God", led me to consider the following explanation of wisdom.
-Have a realistic picture of the World (see Ecclesiastes).
-Let God be God.
-Fear Him.
-Always strive for a closer relationship with the Lord.
-Don't misunderstand that being a Christian means the world is good and happy. Don't have a dreamy, I love Jesus so it's all good perspective.
-God has a purpose, but we may never know it. So don't be fooled into claiming to know his purpose. Of course, it is sometimes revealed to us by the Spirit. God is still God.
-Fear the Lord. Honor His majesty, sovereignty, glory and love.
-As we grow closer to Him, we will get to know Him, His character and He will choose to reveal Himself.
